house RR + CM
natural warmth and sea view: restyling a 160 m2 flat in capodarco.
In the hills of the Fermo countryside, in the hamlet of Capodarco, Casa RR + CM represents the transformation of a flat of approximately 160 m². This project, supervised by Francesco Valentini, architect in the Marche region, is an example of a RR + CM house - francesco valentini | architect Marche region, which transformed the house purchased by a young couple, which enjoyed a “spatial” view of the sea and was already ready to be lived in. However, the new owners wanted an intervention that went beyond mere functionality, seeking a warm and personalised atmosphere. The objective of the restyling project was to instil a unique character, reinterpreting the spaces through an aesthetic that blends elegance and nature (Japandi style), a new lighting design and the skilful use of tactile materials.
the vision: warm atmospheres and light scenarios.
The client's main request was clear: to transform a correct but impersonal environment into a cosy and lived-in refuge. RR + CM's intervention focused on customising the rooms, starting with a complete revision of the lighting design. New spots were introduced for dedicated and punctual lighting, capable of creating multiple scenarios and enhancing the different areas of the house.
matter and continuity: parquet, paint and woodwork.
In order to achieve the desired atmosphere for the RR + CM house, the choice of materials was crucial. As a starting point, we kept the excellent existing parquet floor: its large, natural planed effect planks give continuity and warmth to the entire house. In parallel, we applied a lime-effect material paint to the walls, adding tactile depth and a sense of natural imperfection. Consequently, this same materiality continues and is found in the boiserie elements and open storage compartments, creating a visual thread that harmoniously links the different spaces.
the heart of the house: the TV wall and the fireplace.
We paid special attention to the TV wall in the living area. For this reason, we completely redesigned it, conceiving an architectural play of full and empty spaces. Specifically, volumes in plasterboard alternate with a piece of wood furniture which, in turn, elegantly integrates a fireplace. The result is not only aesthetic but also functional, as the composition offers open storage spaces that are perfectly integrated into the overall design of the wall.
monolithic elegance: the new travertine bathrooms.
We completely rethought the services, focusing on natural stone. Travertine, in fact, became the absolute protagonist: we used it for all the claddings and also for the shower trays. In particular, we created them both in situ to guarantee total material continuity. Finally, for the bathroom furniture, we chose a cabinet and a storage column from the Casabath collection. This choice ensures a clean design and high quality, in perfect harmony with the timeless elegance of stone.
intimacy and saidthe master suite.
The bedroom also required a targeted intervention to increase its comfort and personality. Consequently, we created a new headboard bed that ends in an architectural fifth, defining the space and adding a sense of intimacy. To complete the intervention, a full-height bi-folding door, custom-made by locksmith Marco Ripa, acts as a sculptural and scenic element, separating and connecting the room with elegance.
