new southern waterfront in porto sant'elpidio

The project for the redevelopment of the new Porto Sant'Elpidio seafront takes life and energy from the very reality of the town, filtered by the neighbouring fabric, not only by its forms, but also by its roots that have transformed its aesthetics and importance over time. The idea starts from the discovery of the area, highlighting what is its main function as a social aggregator and centrality for the city. The aim is to generate a promenade by placing additional social aggregators, reinforcing the further purpose as the epicentre of the city. Without injuring the current conformation of the places, maintaining the nature of the spaces by increasing their usability, recomposing the spaces, the urban territory. To grant the inhabitants a “unique” environment, a pleasant, vital place, surrounded by greenery and urban freedom. A total redevelopment that revitalises the entire city by reconstituting it without distorting it and calling the citizens to experience this space more. Reappropriating it. The project allows itself to be contaminated by Mario Giacomelli's shots, his illustrations of the Marche countryside, the land and the valleys.
